General Information

The Cumberland Mountain Hunting Lodge is located in the scenic Cumberland Mountains of Tennessee, and offers the best in trophy hunting. Cumberland Mountain Hunting Lodge is an area that is ideally suited for hunting. The beautiful mountain scenery is breathtaking. Some of the mountain areas have cliffs that drop into a deep valley below with small streams. The whole area teams with native wild game including deer, wild boar, black bear, wild turkey, and other small game in addition to those species of game that are released. The surrounding mountain terrain is very remote and in some places only accessible by foot, horse, or four-wheeled drive vehicles. Virgin timber still covers some of the area. Local guides will assist you in a very memorable hunt, getting meat for the freezer and a trophy for the mantle.

Food & Lodging

Our new rustic lodge was constructed from rough sawmill lumber. The sawmill lumber theme is carried throughout the lodge. The lodge is most comfortable particularly when its cold and a big fire is going in the big fireplace! Southern home-cooked family style meals are served.

Meat Processing

Meat will be processed at an on-site butchering shop. For pricing look under hunting rates on the next page.

Hunting

Our hunts usually start after breakfast approximately 8:00AM. Our guides will take you to the hunting area and stay with you during the hunt. They then bring you back to the lodge for lunch and take you out again in the afternoon. Methods of hunting are stalking, driving, and only chasing with dogs as a last resort. Bowhunters may bring and use their own stands. No knife or spear hunts permitted. Our guides are always within the immediate area to assist you in any way, if needed. They will field dress your animal and bring it back to the lodge by 4-wheel drive vehicle.

Clothing

The weather will not stop us from hunting. Please bring rain gear year round and cold weather gear in the winter. Hunter orange is required. Also, bring a good pair of walking boots and a canteen for water while hunting.
